Carols By Candlelight
Sunday 7th December at 6.00pm
You are warmly invited to join the Chancel Singers in our candlelit
carol concert in the Victorian Theatre to the accompaniment of the
Welte organ. Mulled wine & mince pies included
The Chancel Singers were formed in 1990 to sing services in
cathedrals and to give concerts locally.They have recently sung
Evensong in St. Paul’s Cathedral, to which they will be returning
next year.The Music Director since 2004 is Christopher Harris.
Their accompanist is Paul Jeffery

Once again we are delighted to welcome Kenneth Pont, our regular
organist for civil marriages, who will be giving a Christmas Organ
Concert following a 3 course carvery lunch in the Victorian Theatre.

A three course lunch in the Dining Room and Conservatory
featuring table magic by ‘Magic Time Entertainers’

Smoked mackerel, salmon and crab stack bound in a light lemon and
coriander salad dressing on a bed of cucumber, red chard and lollo rosso
Cream of butternut squash and walnut soup with a hint of basil (v)
Asparagus, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts and sun-blushed tomatoes on a bed
of rocket and lambs lettuce topped with roasted sesame seeds and drizzled
with a lime balsamic syrup (v)
Roast leg of lamb perfumed with fresh rosemary and garlic
Roast breast of turkey with chipolatas wrapped in bacon with sage and

Christmas Day Lunch
A five course carvery lunch to include a glass of mulled wine or
Bucks Fizz on arrival and a present under the tree for every
child under 14 years of age
Wild pheasant pâté complemented by a forest berry confît on a bed of
winter leaves with toasted olive bruschetta
King prawn, smoked salmon and flaked fresh crab topped with mussels
and oysters on a bed of butter and romaine lettuce with a honey and
lime vinaigrette
Pumpkin and sesame seed soup with sage croûtons (v)
Asparagus, shitake and oyster mushrooms on a setting of lollo rosso, red
chard and gem lettuce topped with sun-blushed tomatoes and artichokes
finished with a pink peppercorn and avocado vinaigrette (v)
