Bertie Wooster is at school learning how to fend for himself without the help of their staff, who were becoming increasingly rare following the second world war.
The inimitable Jeeves has been loaned out to the Earl of Towcester. The Earl –Bill- is another aristocrat suffering on account of the social revolution. Angered at losing too often at the races, aided by the flawless Jeeves and urged on by the financial demands of an impending marriage to the young Jill Wyvern, The Earl decides to become a bookie!

The Pantiles Players started presenting 4 performances of their summer open-air play at Salomons in 2007, the week after their annual run on The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells. Following 58 years of open-air theatre on The Pantiles, The Players are no longer able to perform on the bandstand due to the increasing extraneous noise. From 2010 The Players are transferring all their performances of the annual summer show to Salomons.

through the museum and tours of the Victorian

An Evening with Carlo Curley
7.30pm Carlo Curley is one of the world’s foremost concert
organists. Early in his career, he was invited by the
President to play at the White House and made history as
the first classical organist to give a solo organ recital there.
Today, he tours the world and has played before crowned
heads of Europe, including the late Princess Grace of
Monaco, the Princess Royal of England and several
command performances for the Danish Royal Family. He
has also made private recordings for the Sultan of Oman.
Wherever he goes, Carlo Curley’s charismatic personality inevitably finds its way onto TV and
radio. His network TV appearances in the United States, England, Australia and Japan are
well known. Mr Curley has made innumerable appearances for the BBC and recently CLASSIC
FM broadcast live his concert at Westminster Abbey, given in aid of the Abbey Choir School
and the Royal School of Church Music.

Charles Condomine is a writer who invites Madame
Arcarti, a medium, to conduct a séance in his house
in the hope of gathering material for his next book.
To his great annoyance she succeeds in summoning
the spirit of his temperamental first wife, Elvira.
Elvira makes continual attempts to disrupt Charles’
marriage to his second wife, Ruth, who cannot see
or hear the ghost.
Noel Coward wrote Blithe Spirit during World War II.
This delightfully satirical comedy about ghosts playfully
mocks the traditions of love and marriage. It became a
resounding success that continues to haunt the British stage.

Having allowed the elves to enjoy a summer holiday
on the Costa Brava, for some, as yet unknown reason
they have failed to return. It is now Christmas Eve and
Santa has called in a few of his pantomime friends to
prepare for the big night. Events, however, do not go
according to plan and a shocking murder takes place. Will you be able to solve this dastardly
crime? Cross examine the surviving suspects, inspect the clues, then report on who did it
and the reasons why...
Parties of less than 10 guests must be prepared to share a table.

Carols By Candlelight

Singers in our candlelit carol concert in the Victorian
Theatre to the accompaniment of the Welte Organ.

The Chancel Singers, based in Tunbridge Wells, were
formed in 1990 by John Francis and have sung in
abbeys, churches and cathedrals throughout England, including on several occasions,
St Paul’s Cathedral in London.
The choir is now directed by Christopher Harris and their accompanist is Paul Jeffery.
